Sustainable tourism is a way of travel that, while it offers a unique and amazing experience to the traveller and connects people, it also protects our best assets, our nature, our culture, our communities, our history and our planet.

Environment

Our ranch was not passed down through generations, but built from the ground up with our own hands. As we planned, built, and renovated, we took our ecological footprint into consideration. We’ve implemented a solar grid and water catchment to offset our natural resource consumption. The local AirBnb has been outfitted with composting toilets, grey water systems, and refurbished with reclaimed materials.

Community

Ranching and farming are the backbone of our local economy. Looking to support our community, we have committed to sourcing our meals from vendors that utilize meat and produce from neighboring ranches and farmers markets instead of big box stores.

Culture

New Mexico has a rich Native American, Hispanic, and cowboy history, and we want to share it with you. We have built many of our rides around cultural events and festivals in order to celebrate our melting pot of traditions.

Sustainability

To insure that the equine industry is present in the future planning of outdoor sustainability, we partnered with EndeavOR New Mexico, the State’s first outdoor recreation business alliance dedicated to working together to forge a sustainable outdoor economy and world-class outdoor experiences for all. We also promote Outdoor New Mexico, a non profit organization whose mission is to promote the protection, appreciation, sustainable management, appropriate recreational use, and economic benefits of outdoor natural areas in New Mexico, and to promote educational and workforce development activities that advance these objectives.
